How I Work
One thing the science makes clear is that just as we are hurt in relationship, we heal in relationship, too. Safe relationship. At the very center of my work, personal and professional, is the desire to create a field of respect and integrity within which unfolding and becoming is made possible. This is why, since the beginning of my career as a therapist, I have gravitated towards the fields of attachment, interpersonal neurobiology and body-centered therapy. Just as relevant to my work as my 20+ years of training in psychotherapeutic modalities has been my commitment to my own healing and soul journey, including the work of what social and racial justice look like on the inner and outer levels.
When we experience trauma, whether that's structural, "big T" or "little t" trauma, our nervous systems adapt to navigate a world appraised as dangerous. Our survival strategies kick in and thank goodness for that, but ultimately, what once enabled us to survive less than ideal circumstances ends up limiting our capacity for flexibility, responsiveness, and joy. When safety is available, we are able to access and feel parts of ourselves, to process previously tucked away pockets of pain, and rewire our nervous systems. Neuroplasticity is real, and we can do it together. I know it's possible. I've felt it, seen it, and know it in my bones. If you are here reading this, there is a part of you at least willing to entertain the notion that more may be possible. Your future self is calling you forward and it is my complete honor to walk alongside you here.
And here is where my spiritual self comes out of the closet to stand with my academic self: I am an intuitive healer and I work by tapping into a deeper stream of intuition and knowing, sourced in the field of Divine Love that holds us all. What I bring to my clients is this combination of intuitive presence, professional mastery, and commitment to truth and justice, all of which are ongoing practices for me.

FAQs
• First steps: The first step is reaching out to schedule an initial 20-minute informational call here. I will get back you by email to arrange that. This can happen over the phone or on Zoom.
• Frequency: The suggested frequency for sessions is once a week in order to gain traction and momentum, especially in the beginning of our work together where assessment and relationship-building is necessary. This is particularly important for couples work.
• Cost: My standard fee is $225 for an individual 50-minute session and $275 for a 75-minute couples therapy session. I do not accept insurance, however, I can provide a statement for reimbursement from your insurance company if requested. Please note that most insurance policies do not cover couples therapy services.
• Cancellation Policy: I have a 24-hour cancellation policy which means that I will charge the full session cost for appointments cancelled within 24 hours of our meeting. For appointments on Monday that means cancelling before the appointment time on the Friday before.
